AT&V, Inc. Cryogenic and Low Temperature Technology

 

AT&V would like to take this opportunity to present some of our cryogenic and low temperature storage tank applications. AT&V’s turnkey ability associated with these applications, as well as pioneering technology has helped to create a world leading low temperature and cryogenic storage tank product line. 

AT&V’s in house Engineering associated with the refrigerated and cryogenic tank application spans more than 40 years dealing with domestic & foreign applications.  These applications involve ASME Sec. VIII Div. I and Div. II spheres, API 620 Appendix R & Q, as well as, AT&V’s proprietary systems for cryogenic applications below -321° F.  AT&V’s in house capabilities help support innovative designs for seismic impacts to the overall tank and piping structures.  AT&V’s in house engineering staff has experience with API 620 R applications up to 180’Ø and API 620 Q applications up to 100’Ø.

AT&V realizes the importance of Advancing Technology and participates in the committees of API associated with tanks and vessels under API 650, as well as, 620.  In addition, AT&V continues to perform research associated with insulation performance and characteristics, material performance, seismic impacts and general issues of value for improved economics.

To ensure proper Fabrication and Quality Control, AT&V has a dedicated fabrication facility with in house quality control capabilities associated with ASME Sec. VIII Div. I and Div. II, as well as, ASME B31.3 for piping and API for 620 R & Q applications.  Applications processed through the facility include nuclear, pharmaceutical and liquid oxygen clean applications.

AT&V’s Field Erection Capacity is unique and unsurpassed in the United States.  Dedicated crews, with alloy only erection gear and procedures, help support AT&V’s leading technology for cryogenic and refrigerated erection. Licensed in approximately 30 states within the United States, AT&V’s dedicated crews are mobilized with management’s pre-knowledge of their schedule, quality and management capabilities.  Utilization of existing staffs helps AT&V ensure predictable results.  Corporate goals such as our 1% radiographic reject rate are currently surpassed as on our recent cryogenic project, which has currently experienced 1 reject in 528 x-rays.  Crews are also trained to ensure proper installation techniques for insulation materials, as well as, our in house cleaning procedures.

Combined with the fact that AT&V’s OSHA & TRIR is less than ½ of the industry standard helps support predictable safety, quality and schedules. AT&V’s field experience associated with cryogenic applications spans more   than 20 years for multiple construction managers, as well as, AT&V foreman. The individual experience, combined with AT&V’s advanced welding technology, proprietary systems and design help yield superior results over industry standards.
